Hoopers Bay Beach

The pictures speak for themselves! This magnificent beach is just yards from your front door, and is almost always deserted, other than for the turtle that swims by at 9.30 every morning, the beautiful tropical fish in  the crystal clear waters, and the  ospreys and herons overhead !

The Bay is very shallow and safe for swimming and snorkelling, and the water is warm all year round. There is no current or tide in the bay.

The sand is unbelievably soft and white, almost like velvet, and you can relax under the coconut trees when the sun gets too warm!

Every day you can spot the two turtles that swim past, about 3 feet from the shoreline, from the right to the left (we’ve never seen them swim the other way!). You can also see myriads of colourful fish, rays and flying fish sparkling across the waters. You might even be lucky enough to see some dolphins - they have come as close as 30 feet from the shore!

So bring your snorkelling gear, use the 2 man kayak we provide and paddle to one of the nearby deserted beaches, see how many types of fish you can spot! Or bring some cold drinks down from the apartments, and read those books you promised you would all year round but never found the time!
